Educational Programs

The Education department at the Genadendal Mission Museum seeks to inspire all of our audiences to engage with our collection and exhibitions through curriculum-based educational and outreach programmes.

Our Museum education staff aim to make the lessons fun while also learning. This permanently embeds the lesson in the minds of the learners. We all know that teaching must be stimulating and entertaining and keeping learners in the classroom is not effective teaching. So the hand of the teacher is strengthened by our museum and learners can re-enforce the teaching material with a practical hands – on exercise.

Some of our educational programmes include:

– Archaeology Education Programme
– Local History Education Programme
– Medicinal Plants Programme
– San/Khoi-khoi Education Programme
– National Symbols Programme

These educational programmes are ALL presented FREE to schools. For more information, contact us by 028 251 8582 or email us: genadendalmuseum@gmail.com to place a booking.
